What is NAATI? |
NAATI is the acronym of the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. It is the only authority in Australia responsible for translation and interpreting accreditations and recognitions. NAATI is also the organisation designated by DIBP to conduct occupational assessments for translators and interpreters. |
What qualifications/certificates will I get once successfully completing the SIIT course? |
Upon successful completion of the courses at SIIT, students will receive a graduate certificate and an associated transcript. Students can apply to sit the NAATI public certification test. If the student passes the NAATI certification test, NAATI certification will then be issued. The student will then be eligible to work as a qualified interpreter or translator in Australia or any other country that accepts NAATI certification. |
Why should I choose SIIT? |
There are many reasons why you should choose SIIT.
|
Do the qualifications offered by SIIT lead to NAATI endorsed qualification? |
All Interpreting/Translating qualifications offered by SIIT are approved by the NAATI at the appropriate levels. Students who successfully complete their studies at SIIT are eligible to directly sit the NAATI certification test at a particular level, without needing to meet other pre-requisites. Students who pass the NAATI certification test at a certain level will receive the NAATI certificate of that level. |
